Difficulty: Moderate

From the school in the centre of Rathcormac village, walk north to the crossroads, then take the road signposted for Ballyhooly. Walk up the rising road for approximately 2km.

Immediately, the walk opens up to a vista, encompassing Corrin to the north and the sprawling fields south to Britway.

At Toberaneague Crossroads, turn left and follow the winding road for a further 3km until you arrive back at Rathcormac National School.

– Information on walk provided by Barry Connolly, Tom Baker, Kevin O’Farrell and Tom Tobin, from their guide ‘Walking in Fermoy, the Galtees and Surroundings’ (Fermoy, 1999))
