Fermoy, The Pike Loop

Category: Town Walks
Difficulty: Moderate

Starting at the Grand Hotel, cross the bridge and take a right turn at Charlie Browne’s Public House and Restaurant. This turn puts you on Frances Street, which leads on to the Promenade and Rathealy Road.

Having passed the Sub Aqua Club take the next turn left onto the Pike Road and walk for approximately 2km.

When you reach the T junction at the main Dublin road (N8), turn left.

Proceed down the hill toward the town. As you near the bottom of the hill, you will see Christ Church on your right. This is a lovely, 19th-century church that dominates the view from the bridge.

Proceed into Fermoy and back to your starting point.
