The Blackwater Way (Avondhu and Duhallow combined) is a 168 kilometre linear long distance walking route and is part of the European E8 route.
Ballard Waterfall Trail located at Mountain Barrack, just outside Mitchelstown, North Cork. Walking the trail takes approximately 1.5 hours, where you will walk on the roadway, forest track and paths until you reach the beautiful hidden Ballard Waterfall, while enjoying the country views all around.
An Bóthar Glas is a 3.5km greenway catering for walkers and cyclists between Analeentha Bridge and Milford Bridge. The flat route which forms part of the Blackwater Way (Avondhu), runs adjacent to the Clyda River and passes through parts of the townlands of Monaparson, Ballyfilibeen and Kilquane.
Knockananig is a 4.3km walk surrounding Knockananig Reservoir and takes approximately one hour to walk and has a height variation of 150m. The trail takes walkers around the reservoir utilising Coillte Forestry tracks and quiet public roads.
The Killavullen Loop Trail is a 14km fully marked looped trail which begins at the GAA complex in Killavullen Village. This moderate walk consists of a 1Km walk through the historical village and onto a quiet public road leading to Cloghvoolia forest.
